Whether you’ve got moves like Jagger or prefer to side shimmy at a corner table (that’s dancing, too!), you’ll want to take advantage of Dance Lab’s footloose and fancy free offerings this Sunday and next Thursday.

Sun. July 30 from 5 to 6 p.m., head to the Lab for their second annual showcase featuring “choreographic works in progress” by the resident “lab rats and guinea pigs.”

Admission is only five bucks for standing room and $10 for seats (if you’re the sideways shimmy-type) and audience members play judge and jury, voting for who put together the smoothest moves. The winning choreographer gets a free year of dance at the lab.
A workout and a lesson rolled into one, the Lab’s upcoming hour and a half master hip-hop class is led by Shoulin Young. A former east coast Krump champion and prolific choreographer, Young has worked with artists including Chris brown, b2k, Nina Sky, Jason Derulo, and Justin Bieber.
