I’ve written about it before but I’ll say it again, I love Sugar Bakeshop. My affection is twofold: First, I love it because the tiny store sells the best damn cupcakes in the city (don’t @ me). And second, because the shop provided the cakes for my wedding and every time I bite into one of their treats I’m transported back to that sweet day.
So yeah, you best believe I’ll toast them a happy birthday when they celebrate 10 years in business on Sat. Nov. 11.
For the event, owners Bill Bowick and David Bouffard are throwing a block party. The Amazing Mittens will perform as guests peruse all of the shop’s vendors’ wares:

Author Stephen Hoffius — signing copies of his book on the great Charleston earthquake
