‘Tis the season of incentivized giving. Head over to the James Island County Park Festival of Lights Monday through Thursday nights with any canned food donation (dog and cat food work too!) to get $5 off your vehicle’s entrance into the park. Bonus: the park experiences significantly less traffic during the week, so you’re getting a better experience for a lower price.

The Festival’s donation drive has had considerable success in the past couple of years, too. Last year the Festival donated over 14,000 pounds of food to Lowcountry Food Bank, which was turned into over 12,000 meals.

So go raid WalMart for some Campbell’s soup, throw the kids in the mini-van and get back what you’re giving and have some fun in the meantime at the Festival of Lights.
