D.C.-based Ghostburger pops up at Meeting at Market at The Charleston Place May 23 through May 26. Guests can order the eatery’s signature burgers, hot dogs and milkshakes at the pop-up, along with a variety of menu items specific to Charleston.

The pop-up is first come, first served from noon to 11 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Ghostburger started as a ghost kitchen (get it?) during the pandemic and opened its first brick and mortar in the Shaw neighborhood of D.C. in 2022. The spot is known for its sandwiches; according to Ghostburger’s website, most of the team grew up near Philadelphia and they proclaim “sandwiches are in our soul.”

The Charleston pop-up menu will feature Ghostburger’s signature smashburgers, including the Charleston exclusive Charlie burger with homemade pimento cheese, fried pickles, red  onions, micro broccoli greens and jalapeno mayo; gourmet hotdogs like the Misty Meadow Glizzy served with Lion’s Mane mushrooms, whiz, barbecue sauce, jalapeno and cilantro; sandwiches like the Charleston exclusive Yellow Submarine, with chilled shrimp, heirloom  yellow tomato, toum, zhoug, and fennel pickle slaw on a long roll; and soft serve ice cream and milkshakes.

You can also order specialty cocktails like the Mayahuel, an El Buho mezcal margarita with a chile salt rim or the Ghost Claw, made with spring 44 gin, grapefruit oleo, thyme syrup and bubbles. Follow Ghostburger on Instagram @ghostburgerdc to learn more.
