Money laundering?
A Mount Pleasant man on June 9 reportedly stole several containers of Tide laundry detergent pods with a total value of about $500. We aren’t sure that anyone needs that much laundry detergent, so maybe this guy just took “money laundering” way too literally.
Where was he shopping?
A Charleston man on June 7 reportedly stole “a multitude of food items” from a Meeting Street store, according to Charleston police. This “multitude” reportedly cost a total of $35, leading us to ask — where is he shopping these days to get a multitude of anything for only $35?
Ice cold
A Mount Pleasant woman on June 9 told police she wanted to report issues with her husband, with whom she is separated. She said he has been “sending soundwaves through the freezer to bother her.” She also advised she can hear him walking around upstairs — but her home is a single story. Police advised her to get some counseling.
Just needs a little nap
Charleston police on June 6 pulled over a man for suspected driving under the influence on Grimball Road. The man told officers he had three beers and two shots of tequila, but that he was just tired, not drunk. His breathalyzer results — 0.17% — would beg to differ.
