More than 30 restaurants have committed to donating a portion of their October proceeds to the recently created Holy City Hospitality Fund (HCHF) to help food and beverage workers impacted by Hurricane Helene’s destruction.
The money from HCHF will go to applicants in the Carolinas through Southern Smoke Foundation, a nonprofit that helps food and beverage workers during emergency situations. Southern Smoke provides essentials like groceries, clothing, medication and lost wages to F&B workers.
Feed the Need, a nonprofit organization that provides meals to local shelters, has agreed to match up to $25,000 from their organization.
