[UPDATED, 3 p.m.] It’s a snow day in Charleston! The area is under a winter storm warning until noon Wednesday as forecasters predict another inch or two of snow to top a similar amount that fell late Tuesday and early Wednesday.

Officials advise residents to stay inside, delay travel and keep off slippery roads and bridges, which could become hazardous. There’s a chance more sleet is on the way, too.

In the meantime, here are some snowy pictures collected from staff members of the Charleston City Paper.  We’ll keep adding pictures throughout the day.
