This season’s Jail Break arts festival will be held Oct. 10 at 4 p.m. at the venue that inspired its name, the Old City Jail (21 Magazine Street.)

Billed as Jail Break: Requiem, this is the festival’s ninth and final installment.

“This isn’t the end of Jail Break,” says executive director Andrew Walker. “But it does represent a pause to appreciate what we have built together, pay our respects, and celebrate the expectation of an afterlife for Jail Break that will honor a further phase of a locally driven arts festival.”

The fest includes comedy presented by Theatre 99, poetry curated by Marcus Amaker, a pop-up radio station by Ohm Radio DJs, and music from Hearts & Plugs acts Brave Baby, ET Anderson, Beach Tiger (formerly the Tarlatans), and Hermit’s Victory.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at jailbreakcharleston.com.
