MORNING HEADLINES | The late U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., will be memorialized in the U.S. Capitol, followed by a closed service today in Washington National Cathedral where President Donald Trump will eulogize him. The service will be livestreamed.
Remarks are expected from Trump and Fox News host Sean Hannity with readings by the Rev. Franklin Graham, conservative family leader Tony Perkins and pro-life leader Marjorie Dannenfelser, according to published reports.
On Wednesday, Graham will be remembered in a noon public service at the First Baptist Church of Columbia, followed by a private burial in the Upstate.
Meanwhile, Republicans have until noon today to file to replace Graham for the party on the November ballot to fill the seat for a six-year term. At least 10 hopefuls, including his sister Darline who was appointed to take his place until January, filed their paperwork for the two-week sprint toward the Aug. 11 special GOP primary.

A truck driver pulled in the wrong way through Bessinger’s Barbecue’s drive-thru July 21, slamming into the building and knocking the extension off its foundation. The crash rendered their drive-thru unusable for the foreseeable future.
