INDIANOLA’s Owen Beverly, who divides his time between Charleston and Brooklyn, has made his cinematic debut with the film Solo Project.

Created by Brooklyn’s Lost Pilot Films, Solo Project premieres next month at the South Bay Film & Music Festival in Hermosa Beach, Calif.

Beverly stars as Aaron, whose band Dream Wolf calls it quits, and so the musician sets out to make it on his own. Aaron travels to Denmark with his manager (comedian Matt Wayne) for a chance to sign on with a Copenhagen record label, during which complications ensue.

Also on the fictional label is an artist played by Danish singer Emmelie de Forest, who won the 2013 Eurovision song contest (yep, in real life).

Beverly says the film was shot in Copenhagen while he was on tour with Oh Land, the Danish electro-pop act for which he plays guitar.

The trailer for Solo Project features INDIANOLA track “Another Thing Coming,” which is now streaming on Spotify.
